I am what eat: I am allergic to peanuts

Hi, just returned from a long summer with the family. Time to get back on my blog and to spend more time on writing anyway. I now want to start up my writing about allergies of peanuts because that's my main concern now. The book I am working on is about kids, youngers with food allergies and the consequences on their daily life and consequences in behaviour. After studying and researching on the web I am disappointed about the lack of information towards these groups of kids and their environment. The point in my research about articles about food allergies will be focused and looking for positive and really helpful meenings in the every day life of a kid and his family and the surroundings at school and social peer groups in general. Now with this restart of my blog I will do more explicit definition and explication about the situations we are dealing with as a family and especially my eldest daughter, the allergic girl. The main reason of my project is the fact that every social occasion, a coming together is mixed with food or all about food and it is so hard and frustrating that every optimistic and funny way of looking at these kids is missing. There are always exceptions and these are the people who are able and have the intellectual senses of getting things in the right way and taking initiatives and pushing me, the mother, to start up my plan and do the writing book in a way of a very hip and fashion pop-up book for kids and yougsters. Art and food: cosmopolitan

Interdisciplinary; education is the only tool

In the meantime in Lausanne. I was following the elections yesterday in the Netherlands. My Holland the land where I was born, my country where I lived the first three decennia of my life.
After these elections and this enormous winning mood for a party on the very right conservative side of the political battle field, a man with a Mozart look, appeared easily in leading position. His opinions about Islam in a rather racist way are so deeply intolerant. The intolerant and negative sense in society make me sad. It's interesting to follow these elections while living abroad and to know and feel how nice and wonderful it is to meet with other people, people who accept you to be in there country.
Why can't we as a civilized people try to see and understand cultural and multicultural tensions in a peaceful context. Not by simplifying or ignoring that there are problems but to avoid conflict by simply exchange opinions but not by misjudging and creating hate between groups in society.
Diplomatic solutions are the ultimate best and peaceful way to progress.
To start with education that pushes towards understanding and a permanent process for civilisation.

Education for all as a tool for better understanding.
I am interested in education and Art education. Interdisciplinary is a link we can't ignore anymore today. Art, colour, food, kids, cosmopolitan, knowledge, traveling!

Blogging for a positive life with allergies!

The positive side of things; being allergic and living around the world.

An imaginary walk around the magnificent lake of Geneva, we enjoy the view from our terrace. While I listen to my daughter Nuria playing the violin. Starting my web log since yesterday evening, and learning about new possibilities in this flat world.
To gain and create my own modest and necessary access to the world, writing whenever I feel to write and open up the world of allergies we live in my household. here in Lausanne, with my husband, my three girls, our extended family and friends.
For me, the beginning, today is a day to try and to retry: describing a few of my thoughts.
But one goal I have, is: to find an audience, passive and active by sharing food allergies.
What is life about for young kids to have these life threatening kinds of allergies?
How can your life be super even when you are suffering from severe allergies?
My point of view is: looking at the bright side. The positive way of looking at allergies in daily situations. Parenting means for me being aware of my daughter's well being and giving her all the possibilities in exploring her young life without fear and feeling safe!
The challenge is huge and I don't know the answer to most situations and yet I believe in my way of doing the things connected to her allergies.
It's what works for us.....
and would love to be that mother who can share these experiences and try to be the one who can be a source of ideas and inspiration, a listener too for other parents and allergic kids.
Our life in different countries has been both a challenge and a enrichment. Allergies are part of our life and as such traveled along. We can't make them go away but we went away and the horizons broadened up for all of us.
Knowledge is most important and ignorance is unbelievable dangerous where we encounter children, young people and even young adults with allergies.
