The floors are getting warmer in the house. My feet feel comfortable without flip flops. There was noise this early morning, a lot of footsteps at the stairs, up and down, there was excitement about an upcoming departure. We became a kind of a family of 6 the last three months. The emotions were all around the house, there were tears and last hugs and a 'see you... later this summer' some where in France.
He liked to taste a final part of cake. The dark chocolate or the berries crumble. He picked the last one.
He was sneezing ... allergies? Or a sense of sensibility. I can probably wrap his room with all the toilet paper he was using the last months. Always a running nose... the garden took his breath away. We avoided the parks in Rabat, we laughed about the search for a concrete city. No need for him to study English garden architecture next year in England.
It's his asthma that impressed me the most. And I think the break he took, being part of our family, was a good thing for both his mind and his body. The bonding between the cousins was great. I learned about his food related allergies and cooked in a different way. We didn't use any olive oil, we skipped the night shade vegetables and had lots of quiches, vegetables as spinach, broccoli, flower cowl and green salad.
